Thai Mango BGC Review: Honest Thoughts and Must Try Orders

Some of my fellow foodies invited me out for a casual catch-up. During our conversation, someone suggested visiting Thai Mango’s BGC branch. I was instantly excited. It had been years since I last enjoyed authentic Thai food during a previous work trip to Thailand. Needless to say, I couldn’t pass up the chance to satisfy my Thai food cravings. That is why this Thai Mango BGC review felt long overdue.

On our first visit, we tried some of their crowd favorites to get a sense of what Thai Mango BGC has to offer. The experience left a good impression and made me eager to explore more of their menu.

Not long after, we had a second visit. This time, someone was craving Thai Mango’s Pad Thai, so we returned to see how the restaurant compared to our first experience. In this Thai Mango BGC review, I am sharing what we ordered during both visits, what caught our attention, and whether I would happily go back.

First Impressions of Thai Mango BGC

A small detail that made me smile.

From my first visit, the staff were warm and welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone for the meal. They greeted us right away and helped us settle in. The restaurant was clean, well-ventilated, and could comfortably seat around 30 people. The tables were spaced well enough for conversation, so it did not feel cramped. Because of this, it was easy to relax and enjoy the food even during a longer meal.

As lunchtime approached and more guests arrived, the place became livelier but not overwhelming. Orders were still handled smoothly, and dishes arrived at a steady pace.

When we returned for our second visit, the overall setup and service flow felt consistent. Even with more diners, the dining area stayed manageable in noise level. Staff remained attentive and approachable when we had questions about the menu, which made the experience feel organized and comfortable from start to finish.

A Quick Note on Opening Hours

We arrived early since Google listed the opening time as 8 AM. However, during our visit, the restaurant opened at 9 AM. If you are planning to come early, it helps to double-check the hours or allow a little extra time, just in case.

Once the doors opened, we were excited to dive into the menu again. Thinking back to our first visit, we already had a few favorites in mind. This time, though, we also wanted to explore new dishes alongside the familiar ones. With that in mind, here is what we decided to order.

What We Ordered at Thai Mango BGC

To give you a better idea of what to expect, here are the dishes we ordered during our first and second visit.

First Visit Picks

Thai Set Meal 2 – ₱425
Menu Description: Pad Thai + Thai Fried Chicken + Mango Sticky Rice + Iced Tea

I really enjoyed this set. The balance of sweet and sour flavors in the Pad Thai stood out, the chicken was tasty, and everything worked well together as a complete meal.

Tom Yum Spareribs Soup – ₱368
Menu Description: A tender spareribs soup in a tangy chili-lime broth, with noodles, mushrooms, and coconut milk for a perfect blend of flavors.

You can order it with extra soup or extra noodles for an additional payment.

The soup is served separately and poured at the table, which adds a nice touch to the experience. Watching the hot broth flow over the noodles makes the dish even more inviting.

Thai Shrimp Salad – ₱318
Menu Description: A pan-fried shrimp on crisp lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, and cilantro, topped with a light, tangy Thai dressing.

I’m including this mainly for menu reference, since I was not able to take detailed notes on the dressing.

What We Tried on Our Second Visit

For our second visit, we invited a guest who had never been to Thai Mango before. Since it was her first time, we chose the set meals so she could try a variety of dishes from the menu.

Thai Mango offers four Thai set meals, and these are the ones we decided to try.

Thai Set Meal 2 – ₱425 (our special guest’s order)
Menu Description: Pad Thai + Thai Fried Chicken + Mango Sticky Rice + Iced Tea

This was the same set I ordered from our first visit. This time, I noticed a few small changes, like the rice balls sprinkled over the mango sticky rice.

Thai Set Meal 4 – ₱425 (my fellow foodies’ order)
Menu Description: Thai Bagoong Rice + Thai Fried Chicken + Mango Sticky Rice + Iced Tea

I had the chance to try their order, and the rice with bagoong was flavorful and savory. Absolutely delicious!

Thai Set Meal 1 – ₱425 (my order)
Menu Description: Pad Thai + Thai Pork Belly + Mango Sticky Rice + Iced Tea

This was similar to my order from the initial visit, but this time it came with pork belly. I still loved their Pad Thai, and the pork was juicy and satisfying. But I wished there was a bit more pork on the plate.

A Surprise Treat!!!

One of my fellow foodies decided to order some desserts, and we had no idea it was coming.

Thai Mango Classic – ₱180
Menu Description: A sweet mango smoothie with fresh slices, whipped cream, and homemade ice cream of your choice.

This is one of Thai Mango’s best sellers. You can choose your preferred sugar level. For the ice cream, you can select from mango graham or coconut at no extra charge. Add-ons like mango tidbits, cheese, or leche flan are available for an additional charge.

It wasn’t my personal favorite, but I would still recommend trying it if you enjoy sweet, refreshing desserts.

Thai Roti Classic – ₱190
Menu Description: A Thai crepe filled with soft ripe banana slices, then drizzled with sweet condensed milk.

This was something one of them had wanted to try on our first visit, but it wasn’t available at the time. Luckily, it was on the menu for our second visit, and we finally got to enjoy it. It was delicious and best eaten after all the savory dishes.

Thai Roti is basically a pancake. It reminded me of maruya from the Philippines, though Thai roti can come with different fillings and is prepared differently.

Mango Sticky Rice – ₱190
Menu Description: Sweet, juicy mangoes paired with creamy coconut sticky rice.

I wanted to give a little spotlight to this dessert because I absolutely love and enjoy it. It’s no wonder it’s one of their best sellers.

You can also order it on its own, as a platter for 3–4 people, or with add-ons like cheese, coconut sauce, or extra mango slices for an additional charge.

What I Suggest You Try

If it’s your first time visiting, the Thai set meals are the best choice. They let you sample different dishes from the menu in one order, so it’s easier to explore the flavors without getting overwhelmed.

If you’re visiting with a companion, shared meals are also a smart option. Thai Mango offers bundle sets for 3 to 4 people, which makes it easier to try more dishes and balance savory and sweet selections at the table.

Among their best sellers, I would definitely recommend the Mango Sticky Rice, Pad Thai, and Thai Roti. The Mango Sticky Rice and Pad Thai are also included in several set meals, so you can try them in smaller portions first. The Thai Roti is best ordered as an add-on dessert and is perfect for sharing after a savory meal.

Before You Visit Thai Mango BGC

If you’re an introvert like me, you’ll be happy to know that Thai Mango offers online delivery. You can browse their full menu on their Instagram account @thaimangoph or through this link. It’s a convenient option when you want to enjoy their food at home without the crowd.

Still, if you want the complete restaurant experience, dining in is worth it. You get to enjoy the ambiance, freshly prepared dishes served right away, and a more relaxed pace when choosing what to order. It’s also easier to explore set meals and shared dishes when you’re there in person.

Would I Go Back?

Definitely yes. While the menu is not very extensive, there are still a few dishes I want to try next time, especially their other fried rice options.

The prices are fair for the quality and overall experience. It is not the cheapest place, but it feels reasonable for a Thai restaurant in BGC. And even your lolo or lola, tito or tita, or anyone with a more traditional palate could find something enjoyable here. Overall, Thai Mango BGC is a place I would revisit for reliable favorites and a comfortable Thai meal.
